Summer Brings a Wealth of Talent and Enthusiasm to HEET - Welcome our New Interns!

This summer, we are proud to welcome 3 new interns to the Home Energy Efficiency Team: Mackenzie Doss, Mike Katz, and Casey Stein!

Mackenzie and Michael joined us for 10 weeks through The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) Internship Program which aims to provide students and recent graduates with the opportunity to enhance their skills and earn experience in the clean energy sector. Casey joins HEET as the Help for Hogs Intern, with financial sponsorship from National Grid, to help implement and execute this exciting new program!

Our interns come from strong and diverse backgrounds and we are thrilled to have them supporting our community-based programs this summer. Mackenzie, a recent graduate from The College of William with a Master's Degree in Public Policy, assists with planning, tracking, and reporting on HEET's community outreach activities. She has contributed significantly to the Race to Solar program by training volunteers and preparing and running canvasses in Boston and Cambridge. Michael, a current graduate student at the University of Connecticut, is working towards his Master's Degree in Resource Economics while simultaneously serving as a graduate research assistant. He assists HEET with data entry and analysis in addition to social media and communication efforts. Michael's efforts following up with nonprofit and small business leads, in addition to assisting with canvass work have also been an enormous help to the Race to Solar program. Casey recently completed a dual-degree program from MIT where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in City Planning. She has helped enormously by identifying program participants for Help for Hogs and creating outreach materials.We are looking forward to a wonderful summer working with this group!
